Who we are

What we collect, why, and on what legal basis

  • Website visits: your IP address, browser and the pages you open, in our server logs. To run and protect the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Sign-up: your first name, email address and password (stored only as a hash), the time, and a coded form of your IP address. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google gives us your first name, your email address and your Google account ID instead of a password. A Cloudflare bot check (Turnstile) runs on the form. To create your account and stop abuse. Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Your hand histories: the files you upload. They hold your screen name, stakes, cards, actions and results, and the screen names of the other players at your tables. We also keep the file names and sizes and the stake you pick. To make your report and show you your hands. Legal basis: contract. To stop the same hands from getting a second free report, we keep a coded fingerprint of each hand used for a free report (legitimate interest).
  • Your report: our software on our own computer in Austria computes your statistics. An AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) writes the text from those statistics. It does not receive your name, your email or your files. The report is an automated analysis of your play, used only to coach you. Legal basis: contract.
  • The Elite contact form: your first name, email, and, if you add them, your Discord name and your message. It goes to Elias by email, so he can answer you; the site keeps nothing of it except short-lived counters against abuse. A Cloudflare bot check runs on the form. Legal basis: steps before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Purchases: your name, email, billing address, phone number if you give it, the plan, your payments and invoices. Stripe and PayPal handle card and PayPal payments; we never see your card number. Elite is paid by bank transfer. Legal basis: contract, and our legal duty to keep accounts (Art. 6(1)(c), § 132 BAO).
  • Courses and coaching: the courses you unlock and your progress (LifterLMS, on our own site), the videos you play (streamed by Bunny, also the video on our start page), the group coaching on Discord (recorded for members), and our notes from Elite sessions. Legal basis: contract.
  • Emails: service emails (the sign-up link, “your report is ready”, receipts) are part of the contract. The free report comes with our coaching emails. They go out through AWeber only after you confirm by email (double opt-in). AWeber records opens and clicks, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a), § 174 TKG 2021). Emails you send us are kept in Google Workspace.
  • Visit counts: Plausible counts page views and clicks on our buttons without cookies and without storing your IP address. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Who receives your data

  • netcup GmbH, Germany: web hosting.
  • Cloudflare, Inc., USA: domain name service, and the bot check (Turnstile) on our forms.
  • Google Cloud EMEA Limited, Ireland: Google Workspace (email), and Google sign-in when you use it.
  • Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, with Google LLC, USA: Google Fonts, loaded on every page.
  • AWeber Systems, Inc., USA: our email list.
  • Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Ireland, and PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg: payments.
  • BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia: videos.
  • Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia: visit counts without cookies.
  • Anthropic Ireland, Limited, Ireland, with Anthropic, PBC, USA: the AI text (statistics only).
  • Discord Netherlands BV: group coaching, under Discord’s own terms.
  • A backup storage provider, for copies of our website and data.
  • Our bank, our tax adviser and the tax authorities, as the law requires.

Outside the EU: Cloudflare, Google, AWeber, Stripe and Discord are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; PayPal and Anthropic use the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (PayPal also its Binding Corporate Rules).

How long we keep it

  • Uploaded files on the website: deleted 72 hours after our computer has collected them. Unfinished uploads: after 7 days.
  • Your account, hand archive, upload records and reports: as long as you have an account. We delete them within one month after you close it or ask us to.
  • Invoices and accounting records: 7 years (§ 132 BAO).
  • Email list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Server logs: 14 days.
  • Coaching recordings: 12 months. Emails you send us: 3 years.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, and have it corrected, deleted, restricted or handed to you in a common format. You can object to uses based on legitimate interest, object to marketing at any time, and withdraw a consent at any time. Write to support@gopokerpro.com; we answer within one month.

Cookies
